
On January 20, 2010, the Vietnam Foundation (VNF – www.vnfoundation.org) and the Online Management Training Company (OMT – www.omt.vn) has signed an Agreement for Cooperation to promote the use and developmement of Open Educational Resources (OER) at the enterprise level and national level through using Connexions Rhaptos software system, developed by VNF, and for expanding software application in managing and sharing information in enterprise community and organizations at the country, regional and global levels.

By signing the Agreement, VNF will become the strategic supporting partner of OMT in the establishment of application and development methods of OER. VNF shall coordinate with OMT to gradually build up OER items to be able to work and develop comprehensively at OMT, work closely with OMT to deploy and apply Connexions Rhaptos software at OMT including supporting tasks such as installation, operation, and upgrade of software versions. On its side, OMT will apply Connexions Rhaptos for managing and sharing activities within the company as well as in the OMT network with its in-country partners; be responsible for allocation of human resources and other information technology resources to ensure the effective and sustainable usage of Connexions Rhaptos. At the same time, OMT will actively share its experiences of Connexions Rhaptos in business management with other Vietnamese partners and enterprise community in general. It shall make specific contribution (especially in terms of contents) to community of open data base and open course ware in Vietnam and in the region. Open Educational Resources (OER) is an important support tool for education and research that is developing fast in the world. Vietnam Foundation (VNF), the founding member of Connexions Consortium, is currently co-operating with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training to apply OER for in-country educational, training, and research institutes. In addition, VNF is collaborating with businesses, corporations, non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGO) to apply OER to establish their in-house knowledge base, to train and share the knowledge according to their own specific demands.

Courses in this cluster aim to help companies to better navigate and manage external factors in their business environment and cover areas such as marketing, customer service and strategic management.
Finance Management courses provide participants with fundanmental knowledge, principles of and tools for financial management in Vietnamese companies. These courses are scalable and practical, offering best practices and hands-on experience from practitioners.
These courses are designed especially for the small business owners, production managers and QA/QC managers of small and medium enterprises. Participants are equipped with just-enough concepts and theories of operation management and quality management, while are shown real-life examples and practical tips on how to implement these best practices in their own business to save on production cost and improve their bottom line.
OMT courses in this cluster are specifically designed for business owners, production managers and QA/QC maangers in the agri business and food processing industry. Participants are equipped with key concepts, principles and standards of food safety and hygiene, learn to apply these principles and standards in their productions of foodstuffs to meet the general safety and hygiene requirements of the domestic and export markets.
Professionalism and effective inter-personal skills have become order of the day for the managers in Vietnamese businesses. To meet the increasing needs for “soft skills” training especially by companies located away from major urban hubs, with limited access to traditional classroom trainining, the OMT program offers online management skills training courses, focusing on the following essential skills
